An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist / Legal Assistant to join a well-established and highly regarded law firm in Truro. This firm is known for its friendly and supportive working environment together with its strong reputation for providing excellent client care across Cornwall. The successful candidate will become an integral part of a close-knit team where professionalism, teamwork and client service are highly valued.
This is a varied and highly client-facing role, ideally suited to somebody with strong customer service and administrative experience who enjoys working within a professional office environment. Acting as the first point of contact for clients, you will play a key role in ensuring visitors and callers receive a welcoming and efficient service whilst also providing administrative support to fee earners across the practice.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Meeting and greeting clients and visitors
- Managing the reception area and maintaining a professional first impression
- Handling incoming telephone calls and taking detailed messages
- Providing a high standard of client care both in person and over the phone
- Sorting and distributing incoming post and preparing outgoing post
- Filing, scanning and general office administration
- Opening and closing client files and maintaining accurate records
- Monitoring and replenishing office supplies
- Supporting fee earners with general administrative duties
The successful candidate will be organised, personable and professional, with excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail. Previous experience within a legal or professional services environment would be advantageous, although candidates with strong customer service and administrative backgrounds will also be considered.
This is a full-time, office-based role working Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm, although reduced hours may be considered for the right individual.
