An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Conveyancing Solicitor to join a well-established law firm in Barnstaple, providing ad hoc cover across multiple offices. This position involves stepping in to support the Conveyancing department during periods of holiday and sickness absence, ensuring a seamless service for clients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive cover for fee earners within the Conveyancing team during periods of absence.
  • Manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload, handling matters from instruction through to completion.
  • Maintain high standards of client care and service continuity across multiple office locations.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, agents, and other solicitors to ensure smooth transaction progression.
  • Quickly familiarise yourself with new files and ongoing matters, demonstrating flexibility and efficiency.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE in Residential Conveyancing.
  • Proven ability to manage a full caseload independently and to a high professional standard.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different working environments.
  • A proactive and dependable approach, able to react swiftly to cover requirements.
  • The role is intended for someone employed by the firm, rather than on a locum basis.
