A highly regarded law firm with two offices across Devon is seeking a talented and driven Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join their growing team on a full-time, permanent basis. The firm offers flexible working arrangements, including hybrid working, allowing the successful candidate to balance office and remote work.

The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of commercial litigation matters, working with both local and national clients, including businesses of all sizes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and progress a varied caseload of commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, shareholder disputes, professional negligence, and debt recovery.
  • Provide clear and practical advice to clients on a range of commercial disputes, ensuring they are well-informed and supported throughout the process.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the firm’s two offices to share knowledge and ensure clients receive the best possible service.
  • Contribute to the firm’s business development efforts, including networking and marketing initiatives.
  • Keep up-to-date with developments in commercial litigation law and contribute to the firm’s knowledge-sharing culture.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified Solicitor with experience in Commercial Litigation work (3+ years PQE required).
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience in a wide range of commercial litigation matters.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage clients effectively.
  • Proven ability to manage a busy caseload and work under pressure.
  • Strong drafting skills with attention to detail.
  • A team player with the ability to collaborate across different offices.
  • A proactive and client-focused approach to legal work.
  • Experience in business development and client relationship management is desirable.

Qualifications:

  • Solicitor Qualification (essential).
  • Experience in Commercial Litigation law (essential).
