Legal Southwest are delighted to be assisting a well-established and growing law firm in their search for a Private Client Paralegal to join their busy and expanding team in Burnham-on-Sea. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with previous Private Client experience, or a Law Graduate with a genuine interest in developing a career within this area of law, to join a supportive and forward-thinking practice.

The Role

  • Preparing and reviewing legal documentation
  • Liaising with clients, third parties and external organisations
  • Managing and maintaining case files
  • Updating client records and case management systems
  • Providing general administrative support and diary management
  • Acting as a first point of contact for clients
  • Supporting senior fee earners with a varied caseload
  • Assisting with the continued growth and development of the department

This position offers genuine opportunities for progression, with the successful candidate encouraged to develop their fee-earning skills and take on increasing responsibility over time.

About You

  • Previous experience within a Private Client team, ideally involving Wills, Probate and Lasting Powers of Attorney; or a Law Degree and a genuine desire to pursue a career in Private Client law
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
  • Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
  • Experience using case management systems (preferred but not essential)
  • The ability to work from dictation
  • A proactive and professional approach to work
