Looking for a private client legal job in Cornwall? Legal Southwest is recruiting a Private Client Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or experienced Private Client Fee Earner to join an established high street law firm in Wadebridge, North Cornwall.
This is an opportunity to handle varied wills, probate and estate administration work within a smaller, two-office practice that values personal service and lasting client relationships.
The Role:
Based at the firm’s Wadebridge office, you will undertake a broad range of private client work, with responsibilities reflecting your experience and stage of career.
Applications are welcomed from solicitors and legal executives at all levels, candidates approaching qualification, and experienced private client fee earners with a strong practical background. There is no fixed PQE requirement.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Managing a caseload of private client matters, with supervision appropriate to your experience.
- Taking client instructions and drafting wills.
- Preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney.
- Handling probate applications and the administration of estates.
- Identifying estate assets and liabilities, liaising with executors and beneficiaries, and preparing estate accounts.
- Advising on inheritance tax and estate planning within your expertise, obtaining specialist input where appropriate.
- Undertaking trust work relevant to your experience.
- Liaising with HMRC, financial institutions and other professional advisers.
- Maintaining accurate files, meeting deadlines and providing regular client updates.
- Building relationships with clients and local professional contacts.
- Meeting professional, regulatory and client care requirements.
About You:
You will have experience in private client law, including wills, probate, estate administration or powers of attorney. You will combine attention to detail and strong organisational skills with a sensitive, approachable manner.
