- Dealing with taxable and non-taxable estates from instruction through to completion
- Inheritance Tax reporting and applications for Grants of Representation
- Preparing estate accounts and dealing with distributions
- Drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney (sic)
- Meeting clients both in the office and, where required, at their homes
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and professional contacts
- Working alongside colleagues on matters involving trusts, succession planning and tax
- Supporting more junior members of the team where appropriate
- Contributing to the continued development and growth of the department
The Candidate:
Applications are welcomed from Solicitors and Chartered Legal Executives with experience in Private Client work and, in particular, estate administration.
Ideally, you will have around 3 years’ PQE, although candidates with more or less experience are encouraged to apply where they can demonstrate the appropriate skills and experience.
You should have:
- Experience administering estates from start to finish
- Experience dealing with both taxable and non-taxable estates
- Experience drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- The ability to manage your own caseload and prioritise effectively
- Strong attention to detail
- A personable and compassionate approach when dealing with clients
- The ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team
- An interest in developing long-term client and professional relationships
A full driving licence and access to a vehicle will be required, as there will occasionally be a need to visit clients away from the office.
