Senior Residential Conveyancer in Plymouth

Senior Residential Conveyancer in Plymouth

Plymouth Full-Time On-site
L

A well-established law firm in Plymouth is looking to recruit an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join its busy and successful property team.

This is a senior appointment and would suit an experienced property professional who enjoys managing their own quality caseload but would also welcome the opportunity to support the wider team.

Working alongside senior members of the department, you will provide guidance and supervision to less experienced colleagues while helping to maintain high standards of client service and technical expertise across the team.

The firm offers a supportive working environment and hybrid working can be available, subject to business needs and an initial office-based period.

The Role:

You will manage a varied residential property caseload from initial instruction through to completion and post-completion. Matters are likely to include:

  • Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
  • Remortgages
  • Transfers of equity
  • New build transactions
  • Shared ownership matters
  • Other general residential property transactions

Alongside your own caseload, you will provide support, mentoring and supervision to junior members of the team and assist with the smooth day-to-day running of the department.

You will liaise regularly with clients, estate agents, lenders, brokers, developers and other solicitors, ensuring transactions progress efficiently while delivering an excellent level of client care.

The position will also involve identifying and managing risk, maintaining regulatory and compliance standards and contributing to the commercial performance and continued development of the department.

About You:

Applications are welcomed from experienced Solicitors, Licensed Conveyancers or CILEX Lawyers with appropriate practice rights, ideally with at least 5 years’ PQE or equivalent residential property experience.

You will have:

  • Strong technical residential conveyancing knowledge
  • Experience managing your own caseload independently
  • Excellent client care and communication skills
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • A commercial and solutions-focused approach
  • The confidence to mentor and support more junior colleagues
  • A good understanding of regulatory, AML and lender requirements

Previous supervisory or mentoring experience would be particularly beneficial.

This could be an excellent opportunity for an experienced Residential Conveyancer who is looking for a senior position combining fee earning with greater involvement in the development and support of a wider property team.

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm

Location:

Plymouth, with the opportunity for some home working following an initial period and subject to business requirements.
