The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join their Litigation and Employment team on a fixed-term contract of up to 12 months.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified legal professional with at least one year’s post-qualification experience to join a supportive and experienced team, handling a varied caseload of employment law matters.
The successful candidate will work with a diverse client base, including businesses, charities, senior executives and individuals, providing practical and commercially focused employment law advice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising employers and employees on a broad range of employment law matters.
- Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, workplace policies and settlement agreements.
- Providing guidance on disciplinary procedures, grievances and workplace disputes.
- Managing and assisting with Employment Tribunal claims.
- Advising on employment law matters arising from corporate transactions.
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with existing and new clients.
- Managing an independent caseload whilst working closely with colleagues across the firm.
About You:
Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors or Chartered Legal Executives with a minimum of 1 year’s PQE in employment law.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience handling a range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
- The confidence and ability to manage their own caseload.
- Strong communication, organisational and client care skills.
- A practical, commercially aware approach to providing legal advice.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- A proactive and enthusiastic attitude, with a commitment to delivering a high standard of service.
