This newly created executive leadership role offers the opportunity to lead and shape the LSB’s Regulatory Oversight Directorate at a pivotal moment for the organisation and the wider legal services sector.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of a more proactive, intelligence-led and risk-based approach to oversight regulation, ensuring attention and resources are focused where they can have the greatest impact.
- Oversee high-profile regulatory reviews, monitoring, statutory decision-making and enforcement activity, helping to drive rapid and sustained improvements in the performance of frontline regulators.
- As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, contribute to setting organisational strategy, managing risk and providing assurance to the Board.
- Lead senior-level relationships with regulators, government, representative bodies and other key stakeholders, acting as a credible and authoritative voice on regulatory oversight.
- Lead a high-performing directorate, strengthen organisational capability and resilience, and foster an inclusive culture where colleagues can deliver their best work.
Qualifications / Experience
- Experience in regulation, supervision, investigations, enforcement or a comparable oversight environment at a senior level.
- Strong strategic judgement with the confidence to lead complex and high-profile work under scrutiny.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders while maintaining a clear focus on consumers and the public interest.
