A highly respected, family-owned Dubai-based group is seeking a corporate and commercial lawyer to join its small but busy legal team. This is a hands-on “number two” role, supporting the General Counsel across a variety of corporate and commercial matters, including multiple live joint ventures, transactions, and commercial agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day corporate and commercial legal advice across group companies and joint ventures.
- Manage multiple live joint ventures and corporate transactions, drafting and negotiating agreements and shareholder arrangements.
- Support corporate governance: board agendas, minutes, resolutions, statutory filings and group structure compliance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts, service agreements, and operational arrangements.
- Liaise with external counsel and advisors across multiple jurisdictions.
- Advise senior stakeholders on legal risk, commercial strategy, and practical solutions.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified lawyer in a commonwealth jurisdiction (UK, Mauritius, South Africa, etc.).
- 5–10 years’ post-qualification experience in corporate and commercial law.
- Strong corporate law foundation, with commercial contract and JV experience.
- Comfortable handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
- Pragmatic, resilient, and able to work closely with senior business leaders.
- Middle East or cross-border exposure advantageous but not essential.
Package
- Competitive package: AED 45–55k, negotiable up to AED 65k for the right candidate.
- Fully in-house, high-visibility role with direct impact across multiple business units.
