A well-established and expanding law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial & Residential Property Lawyer to join its growing property department. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX), or Licensed Conveyancer with strong experience in commercial property and residential conveyancing. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload involving commercial property transactions, residential conveyancing, and property investor work. This role offers flexible working arrangements, including fully remote, hybrid, or office-based working at one of the firm's offices in the Southwest Region. The firm is known for its strong client relationships, collaborative team culture, and consistent growth within its property department.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion
- Advising property investors and developers nationwide on residential and commercial property acquisitions
- Handling commercial property transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, and leases
- Managing freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- Drafting legal documents including contracts, transfer deeds, and property agreements
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, and third parties throughout transactions
- Providing clear, practical legal advice with a strong client-focused approach
- Maintaining compliance with legal, regulatory, and professional standards
- Supporting colleagues and contributing to a collaborative property law team
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX), or Licensed Conveyancer
- Minimum 2 years of UK Post Qualification Experience in commercial property law
- Strong experience handling residential conveyancing transactions
- Ability to manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and work effectively under pressure
- A strong commitment to high standards of client care
- Proven experience with billing and file management
