The firm is seeking a motivated and experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor or Fee Earner (3+ PQE) to join the team. You will be responsible for managing a full caseload from instruction through to completion, providing exceptional client care, and supporting the firm's collaborative, values-driven culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving instructions and providing legal advice to clients on purchases, sales, re-mortgages, and transfers of equity.
- Handling ID requirements, source of funds checks, gift deposits, and risk assessments.
- Issuing contracts and managing mortgage redemptions.
- Exchanging contracts and completing transactions efficiently.
- Ordering, reviewing, and reporting on property searches.
- Checking and reporting on titles, including leases, and raising associated enquiries.
- Reviewing mortgages and management packs.
- Managing and developing relationships with referrers.
- Delivering a high standard of client service and keeping clients informed at each stage of their transaction.
- Achieving agreed targets for billing, time recording, and other KPIs.
- Ensuring all client information and documentation is handled confidentially and securely.
- Supervising and supporting any conveyancing assistants, providing mentoring where required.
- Contributing positively to departmental meetings and the wider firm culture.
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or experienced Fee Earner with 3+ years PQE in residential conveyancing.
- Previous experience managing a full caseload independently.
- Confident and professional in written and verbal communications.
- Able to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Highly organised with excellent prioritisation skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and case management systems (Proclaim experience is an advantage).
- Enthusiastic, motivated, and a genuine team player who values collaboration, respect, and professionalism.
