This is a part-time remote role for a Civil Litigation Solicitor at Legal Peace Solicitors. The Civil Litigation Solicitor will manage a caseload involving civil disputes, including debt recovery, landlord and tenant matters, contract disputes, and related litigation. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Advising clients on legal rights and options
- Drafting and reviewing pleadings, correspondence, and settlement agreements
- Preparing cases for hearings and trials
- Conducting legal research
- Managing case timelines and court deadlines
- Engaging in negotiation and dispute resolution
- Liaising with counsel, courts, and third parties as needed
The solicitor will also contribute to maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring clear communication, accurate record-keeping, and consistent delivery of high-quality, timely advice in a remote working environment.
Qualifications
- At least 1-2 year's PQE
- Strong foundation in civil litigation with demonstrated experience in litigation, dispute resolution, and court procedure
- Experience in property-related disputes is advantageous
- Familiarity with Family Law matters, particularly where they intersect with civil proceedings, is beneficial
- Qualified solicitor of England and Wales with a current practicing certificate or eligibility to obtain one
- Proven ability to manage a varied caseload independently, prioritise deadlines, and work effectively in a remote setting
- Excellent legal drafting, analytical, and research skills, with strong written and verbal communication
- High level of professionalism, ethical judgment, and commitment to client care, including cost-effective and transparent service
- Proficiency with legal case management systems, digital document management, and remote collaboration tools
