This is a part-time remote role for a Civil Litigation Solicitor at Legal Peace Solicitors. The Civil Litigation Solicitor will manage a caseload involving civil disputes, including debt recovery, landlord and tenant matters, contract disputes, and related litigation. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Advising clients on legal rights and options
  • Drafting and reviewing pleadings, correspondence, and settlement agreements
  • Preparing cases for hearings and trials
  • Conducting legal research
  • Managing case timelines and court deadlines
  • Engaging in negotiation and dispute resolution
  • Liaising with counsel, courts, and third parties as needed

The solicitor will also contribute to maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring clear communication, accurate record-keeping, and consistent delivery of high-quality, timely advice in a remote working environment.

Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 year's PQE
  • Strong foundation in civil litigation with demonstrated experience in litigation, dispute resolution, and court procedure
  • Experience in property-related disputes is advantageous
  • Familiarity with Family Law matters, particularly where they intersect with civil proceedings, is beneficial
  • Qualified solicitor of England and Wales with a current practicing certificate or eligibility to obtain one
  • Proven ability to manage a varied caseload independently, prioritise deadlines, and work effectively in a remote setting
  • Excellent legal drafting, analytical, and research skills, with strong written and verbal communication
  • High level of professionalism, ethical judgment, and commitment to client care, including cost-effective and transparent service
  • Proficiency with legal case management systems, digital document management, and remote collaboration tools
