A global technology company is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to provide hands-on Employee Relations support across the UK, Ireland, and broader EMEA region. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to HR Business Partners and business leaders, managing complex employee relations matters while ensuring compliance with employment laws across multiple jurisdictions. This is a fully remote, full-time contract with the potential for extension.
What You'll Do
- Manage the full employee relations lifecycle across EMEA, including investigations, grievances, disciplinary matters, performance management, and involuntary exits.
- Lead workplace investigations from planning through interviews, findings, recommendations, and written reports.
- Advise on performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, legal risk, and mitigation strategies.
- Support restructurings, redundancies, and organizational changes, including consultation planning and implementation.
- Partner closely with HR Business Partners and business leaders to provide practical, business-focused employee relations guidance.
- Draft and review employee relations documentation, including investigation reports, disciplinary letters, settlement agreements, and related documentation.
- Coordinate with employment counsel on complex, cross-border employment matters as needed.
- Coach managers and HR teams on employee relations best practices, difficult conversations, and risk management.
- Maintain accurate case documentation while identifying trends and recommending process improvements.
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of hands-on Employee Relations experience supporting multiple EMEA jurisdictions.
- Strong experience managing investigations, disciplinary matters, performance management, restructurings, redundancies, and employee exits.
- Practical knowledge of UK and Ireland employment law, with familiarity across broader EMEA employment practices.
- Experience partnering closely with HR and Legal teams to navigate complex employee relations matters.
- Technology industry experience is a plus.
- Experience with Workday and/or ServiceNow is beneficial but not required.
