A leading global technology company is seeking experienced Regulatory and Litigation Counsel to support its legal and regulatory affairs team on a contract basis. This role will focus on responding to regulatory inquiries and supporting engagement with European regulators across privacy, online safety, digital platform governance, and related compliance matters. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with legal, policy, privacy, and product stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to regulatory requests for information (RFIs), investigations, and related inquiries
  • Advise internal stakeholders on regulatory compliance and risk issues impacting digital products and technology platforms
  • Support responses to large-scale regulatory investigations, enforcement actions, and related litigation involving European regulatory authorities
  • Support engagement with European regulatory authorities, including matters involving Ofcom, the ICO, and DPC-related inquiries
  • Coordinate across legal, policy, privacy, and product teams to support regulatory response strategies
  • Assist with regulatory submissions, documentation, and evolving compliance initiatives
  • Provide practical, business-oriented guidance on digital regulatory frameworks and platform governance requirements
  • Partner with Product, Privacy, Policy, Engineering, and Legal stakeholders to assess regulatory risk and provide practical guidance throughout the product lifecycle, from launch through regulatory review
  • Advise on privacy and digital regulatory issues arising from ongoing investigations, regulatory inquiries, and enforcement matters
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience advising technology or digital platform companies on regulatory matters
  • Experience supporting regulatory investigations, enforcement actions, or litigation involving privacy, technology, digital platform, or consumer protection issues
  • Strong experience responding to regulator RFIs, investigations, and enforcement-related inquiries
  • Familiarity working with European regulatory authorities, including Ofcom, the ICO, and/or DPC
  • Deep understanding of privacy, online safety, platform governance, and digital regulatory frameworks
  • Prior in-house experience at a major technology company strongly preferred
  • Excellent written communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to operate independently while collaborating across cross-functional teams
Preferred Experience
  • Experience supporting global technology, social media, digital platform, or SaaS organizations
  • Familiarity with evolving European digital regulations and platform compliance obligations
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-profile regulatory environments
