A global technology company is seeking an Employment Counsel to support its Employment Legal team on a part-time contract basis. This role will focus on advising on employment law matters across EMEA, partnering closely with the Senior Director of Employment Law based in the U.S. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced employment lawyer who is comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced, international environment while supporting a wide range of employment and compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise on employment law matters across EMEA, including hiring, reorganizations, employee relations, performance management, terminations, and leave management
  • Support compliance with employment-related policies and regulations across multiple jurisdictions
  • Draft and review employment-related templates, agreements, and policies
  • Partner with HR/People teams on internal investigations and employment matters
  • Monitor employment law developments and advise on risk mitigation strategies
  • Manage employment disputes and coordinate with outside counsel as needed
  • Support employment-related aspects of M&A transactions, including diligence and integration
  • Develop and deliver employment-related training and guidance to internal teams
Qualifications:
  • Qualified solicitor in the UK or Ireland (active license required)
  • 5+ years of employment law experience, ideally in an in-house or fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of European employment law and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience advising on cross-border employment matters
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with global teams across time zones
  • Ability to operate independently and provide practical, business-focused legal advice
Contract Details:
  • Remote role based in the UK or Ireland
  • Flexible working days (~24 hours per week)
  • Some availability required for evening calls with U.S. stakeholders, with most work aligned to EMEA hours
  • 6 months
  • Rate: $100-$120/hour USD
