Legal.io is working with a leading technology company who is seeking an Infrastructure Counsel to help with data center projects in EMEA. This is a 40 hour per week position and is fully remote within the UK/EU.
Scope of Work
- Support EMEA infrastructure expansion, with a particular focus on planning, land use, development and environmental permitting in relation to hyperscale datacentre projects.
- A successful candidate will have experience in permitting large infrastructure processes in EMEA jurisdictions and familiarity with EU environmental review processes.
- Provide strategic advice on planning, zoning, and environmental permitting.
- Draft and negotiate development agreements.
- Advocate changes to streamline permitting.
- Manage external counsel.
- Contribute to templates, playbooks, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- 5–8+ years PQE with experience in real estate, planning, and environmental law, ideally with large infrastructure projects.
- Law firm, government, or in-house experience acceptable.
- Must be licensed as an attorney to practice in the UK or a EU member state.
