Responsibilities
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of underwriters to build capability and support their ongoing professional growth.
- Providing technical training and guiding the team in managing workloads effectively.
- Delivering high-quality and responsible lending decisions within our risk appetite.
- Acting as an escalation point for complex queries and complaints and driving learning through root-cause analysis.
- Working closely with Operations and Risk teams to review MI, identify trends and improve customer outcomes.
- Embedding conduct risk principles into day-to-day activity to ensure fair outcomes for customers.
- Building strong working relationships across the business and supporting cross-functional collaboration.
- Contributing to process and policy improvements to enhance efficiency and decision quality.
