We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Legal Counsel (Employment) to join our Legal & Governance team. This pivotal role involves providing top-tier employment law advice across the UK and internationally. If you are proactive, strategic, and have a strong employment law background, we would love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing employment legal advice to all business divisions to support strategic and commercial objectives.
  • Advising HR teams and managers on daily employment matters, policies, and procedures.
  • Handling contentious employment legal issues.
  • Overseeing TUPE processes, including outsourcing, insourcing, and acquisitions.
  • Supporting corporate transactions and due diligence.
  • Delivering training and guidance to HR on complex legal matters.
  • Advising on employment contracts and related issues.

Who we're looking for:

  • A 2.1 or higher degree from a recognized UK university or equivalent.
  • Qualified solicitor in England and Wales or another jurisdiction.
  • Experience in in-house financial services is desirable.
  • Deep knowledge of employment law, statutory and regulatory frameworks.
  • Awareness of legislative changes and best practices in financial services.
  • Proficiency in IT systems such as Microsoft Word.
  • Approximately 5+ years' post-qualification experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
