We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Legal Counsel (Employment) to join our Legal & Governance team. This pivotal role involves providing top-tier employment law advice across the UK and internationally. If you are proactive, strategic, and have a strong employment law background, we would love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing:
- Providing employment legal advice to all business divisions to support strategic and commercial objectives.
- Advising HR teams and managers on daily employment matters, policies, and procedures.
- Handling contentious employment legal issues.
- Overseeing TUPE processes, including outsourcing, insourcing, and acquisitions.
- Supporting corporate transactions and due diligence.
- Delivering training and guidance to HR on complex legal matters.
- Advising on employment contracts and related issues.
Who we're looking for:
- A 2.1 or higher degree from a recognized UK university or equivalent.
- Qualified solicitor in England and Wales or another jurisdiction.
- Experience in in-house financial services is desirable.
- Deep knowledge of employment law, statutory and regulatory frameworks.
- Awareness of legislative changes and best practices in financial services.
- Proficiency in IT systems such as Microsoft Word.
- Approximately 5+ years' post-qualification experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
