We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Legal Counsel (Employment) to join our Legal & Governance team. This role is pivotal in providing top-tier employment law advice to our organisation both in the UK and internationally. What you'll be doing:
- Providing employment legal advice to all business divisions to further strategic and commercial objectives
- Advising HR teams and business managers on day-to-day employment matters such as policies and procedures
- Advising on contentious employment legal matters
- Overseeing TUPE processes including outsourcing, insourcing, and business acquisitions
- Supporting corporate transactions and due diligence processes
- Delivering training and guidance to HR on managing complex legal matters
- Advising on contractual employment issues
Who we're looking for:
- 2.1 or above degree from a recognised UK university or equivalent qualification
- Qualified solicitor in England and Wales or another jurisdiction
- Experience working in-house in financial services is desirable
- Detailed knowledge of statutory, regulatory and common employment law
- Awareness of legislative changes and best practices in financial services
- Competence in using IT systems such as Microsoft Word
- Approximately 5+ years' post-qualification experience
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
