We’re looking for a talented Risk & MI Governance Manager to join our team, playing a key role in strengthening governance, enhancing financial control frameworks and supporting effective decision‑making. This is a high‑impact role where you’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, providing oversight, challenge and insight to ensure a robust and consistent control environment. You’ll help shape how risk, governance and management information are embedded across the function, supporting strong financial stewardship and delivering good customer outcomes.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing independent oversight and constructive challenge to ensure risks are effectively managed and governance standards are applied consistently.
  • Designing and maintaining a comprehensive financial control framework aligned to Group standards.
  • Identifying, monitoring and supporting the mitigation of key financial and enterprise risks.
  • Producing high‑quality, consistent and repeatable MI to support leadership decision‑making and oversight.
  • Managing and enhancing Risk and Change Forums to ensure effective tracking and escalation of risks, issues and actions.
  • Partnering with Finance and Group stakeholders to influence planning, prioritisation, resourcing and risk management.
  • Supporting and developing technical accounting and control capabilities across Finance teams.
  • Ensuring governance, controls and reporting support the delivery of good customer outcomes in line with regulatory expectations.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Strong understanding of financial control frameworks, governance models and risk management within financial services.
  • Solid knowledge of insurance accounting, actuarial processes and regulatory requirements such as IFRS and Solvency II.
  • Experience designing and embedding governance structures and risk management processes.
  • Proven ability to produce high‑quality MI and communicate insights clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Confidence in influencing and constructively challenging senior stakeholders in complex environments.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple risks, issues and priorities effectively.
  • Experience overseeing financial reporting cycles, controls and audit processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, both written and verbal.
