We’re looking for a Regulatory Affairs Consultant to help us shape and deliver our regulatory strategy across the Group. In this role, you’ll collaborate with colleagues at all levels and play a key part in maintaining transparent, constructive relationships with our regulators. Responsibilities
- Maintaining positive and transparent relationships with the PRA and FCA, ensuring senior managers are prepared for regulatory meetings and interviews
- Coordinating regulatory engagements and delivering supervisory actions, information requests and thematic review requirements
- Coordinating responses to regulatory consultations and analysing publications from key regulatory bodies
- Managing the delivery of regulatory imperatives within agreed timescales
- Maintaining a clear and accurate audit trail of regulatory information flows
- Reviewing, analysing and interpreting management information to support reporting and oversight
- Preparing regular reports for Boards and Executives on regulatory relationships and expectations
- Building strong relationships across Risk and the wider business, providing guidance on regulatory engagement and emerging trends
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of the PRA Rulebook, FCA Handbook and related regulatory materials
- Understanding of current regulatory priorities across the sectors in which we operate
- Experience working with regulators or managing regulatory relationships within a regulated firm
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high‑quality briefings and reports
- Experience interpreting and implementing regulatory change
- Ability to form effective working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills and sound judgement when handling complex regulatory matters
- Ability to prioritise a varied workload and deliver to agreed timescales
