Job Description
We are currently seeking a Quantitative Developer to join L&G Asset Management and our Asset Allocation team.
As Quantitative Developer you’ll help drive continued growth for the Multi-Asset and Asset Allocation teams through the build-out of scalable python-based services to enhance and drive growth in our Multi-Asset fund range and investment process.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an inquisitive fast learner with great back-end engineering skills as well as an interest in multi-asset and investments.
What you\’ll be doing:

Enhancing existing infrastructure used in the Multi-Asset Funds team to make it more robust, as well as ensuring a smooth transition to updated platforms.
- Inputting to design and development of existing and new services for the team based on business needs.
- Reviewing and enhancing of data feeds to ensure high quality inputs for analytical research and fund management processes.
- Collaborating with developers and data teams to ensure consistency with overall LGIM approach.
- Designing and documenting ongoing support model.
- Maintaining existing services that input into the wider investment process.
Qualifications
Who we\’re looking for:
- We are looking for candidates who have a problem-solving mindset, strong knowledge of python and SQL and who are intellectually curious and enjoy working in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
- Excellent data skills – a deep knowledge of SQL, data structures and data processing. A strong understanding of how to design and structure performant and reliable relational databases.
- A good understanding of software design – SOLID principles, design patterns, domain-driven design, and clean architecture.
- An excellent understanding of automated software testing: unit testing, automated integration testing, approval testing, test-driven development.
- Proven proficiency in Python, Excel/VBA, and SQL.
- Understanding of major asset classes and derivatives (Desirable).
- Comfortable with command line and/or previous experience with Linux (Desirable).
