Job Description
We're currently recruiting for a PricingAnalyst to join our Home Finance team in Solihull.
In this role you will support on the delivery of a fully integrated pricing analytics suite that will maximise commercial opportunities through the use of predictive pricing analytics to help us define market behaviours/trends and help us to optimise our pricing process, position and/or strategy accordingly.

This is a hybrid working opportunity, which means you can split your working week flexibly between your home and our Solihull Offices. What you'll be doing:
- Exploring and implementing new price analysis modelling and software (where applicable) that can be embedded into regular reporting as required
- Understanding data systems and structures within Home Finance and L&G more broadly to contribute towards improvements to these systems where possible
- Producing pricing analysis to support decision making with a focus on pricing sensitivities and forecasting
- Optimising pricing proposal generation to maximise commercial impact
- Continuously developing processes to improve performance through automation and appropriate tooling choices
- Delivering regular reports with a focus on automation and standardisation where possible
- Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with key stakeholders, including providing advice / guidance on data analytics to improve their knowledge and understanding of the pricing work
- Following appropriate governance procedures when implementing pricing changes
Who we're looking for:
- Qualification in a numerate subject with Data Science, Mathematics or Statistics being advantageous
- Ability to conduct data analysis and model development in Excel, with experience in Python and/or R being advantageous
- Proficiency in Power BI for data modelling and visualisation
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and financial skills with the ability to understand and gain insights from complex data
- Effective written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to disseminate complex information and tailor communication style to the appropriate audience
- Ability to create strong working relationships, be part of a productive team and have the confidence to contribute ideas
- Experience of using data science and analytical principles or methods (e.g. conducting A/B testing) and a familiarity with the latest advances in data analysis technology & techniques
- Previous experience working within Financial Services or Finance Functions is advantageous (with previous experience in Lifetime Mortgages being highly advantageous)
