Job Description We\’re recruiting for a Non-Financial – Conduct Risk Consultant to join our team.In this role, you will support the Conduct and Operational Risk Managers in the monitoring and oversight of conduct risk across Retail and Institutional Retirement. You\’ll provide independent risk advice and guidance to the business, deliver effective 2nd line challenge and provide oversight of frameworks, policies and processes, enabling relevant areas to operate in accordance with regulatory standards, industry best practice and applicable Group standards.What you\’ll be doing: Advising on conduct and operational risk for new projects, products, and services, influencing where necessary to ensure they deliver good customer outcomes and stay within risk appetites Supporting the management of non-financial risk frameworks, providing second line oversight to manage risks effectively Preparing and distributing risk reports and MI packs, ensuring clear visibility of risks, and tracking actions to completion Challenging the business on their management of conduct and operational risks, conducting risk and control assessments and spotlight reviews to ensure policies and processes are improved Analysing regulatory changes and advising the business on their impacts, contributing to consultations and implementation Overseeing responses to significant risk events, ensuring objective challenge, root cause analysis, and proactive management Qualifications Who we\’re looking for: Regulatory Expertise: You have a strong grasp of FCA rules, especially in financial advice, pensions, and later life mortgages. You can analyse emerging regulations and policy, pinpoint business impacts and apply regulatory rules and control objectives to real-world scenarios, creating compliant and commercially viable solutions Qualifications: Ideally you will hold the Diploma in Financial Planning / Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent Risk Management: You understand operational, regulatory, and customer-focused risk management principles and have experience managing operational and conduct risks Reporting Skills: You are proficient in preparing management reports, including data analysis and MI reporting, and coordinating with multiple parties Risk Identification: You have a keen eye for identifying and investigating conduct and operational risks Workload Management: You can generate and manage workloads through effective business interactions Networking: You are an effective networker with strong communication skills and independent thinking Independence: You can remain independent while providing practical, value-added solutions, positively influencing outcomes for stakeholders Delivery Focus: You are resilient, able to meet challenging deadlines, and manage conflicting priorities Best Practices: You appreciate industry best practices and take a pragmatic approach when needed Attention to Detail: You have excellent attention to detail If this sounds like you, we would love to have you join our team!
