What You’ll Do:

  • Own and define the Microsoft Purview enterprise product vision, aligned to data governance, regulatory, security, and risk priorities.
  • Act as single point of accountability for Group-level Purview strategy, scope, and direction.
  • Own and prioritise the Purview product backlog, balancing competing enterprise demands.
  • Translate regulatory, audit, risk, and business requirements into actionable platform capabilities and outcomes, while managing prioritisation trade-offs and providing clear options and recommendations.
  • Own Purview as a live enterprise service, including operational health, performance, change, and release management and oversee transition from project delivery to BAU support.
  • Define and track service-level objectives, success metrics, and management information for the platform, ensuring Purview remains audit-ready and compliant with Group technology and risk standards.
  • Act as the primary Purview product authority in a federated model, ensuring consistent enterprise governance while supporting divisional autonomy, and driving adoption across data, information, and collaboration estates through sustainable ways of working.
  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders across Technology, Risk, Legal, Security, and the Business, clearly communicating progress, decisions, and outcomes while representing Purview in governance, assurance, and regulatory forums.

What You Bring:

  • Proven ownership of Microsoft Purview, including hands‑on delivery of discovery, classification, cataloguing, lineage, and governance capabilities.
  • Strong background in regulated environments (e.g. financial services, insurance, gambling) with understanding of compliance, audit, and risk expectations.
  • Ability to translate regulatory and security requirements into practical governance and product outcomes.
  • Skilled in federated data governance models across hybrid and multi‑cloud estates.
  • Experience working across engineering, security, architecture, and business teams to drive adoption and embed governance.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, comfortable balancing competing priorities across senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communicator, able to tailor messaging from operational teams through to executive leadership.
  • Able to position Purview as a trusted, enterprise‑wide data governance platform.
