Job Description
We’re currently hiring a Private Credit Senior Operations Manager to join L&G Asset Management.
As a Private Credit Senior Operations Manager, you will take ownership of overseeing end‑to‑end deal flow activities, including all aspects of the pipeline, trade execution and settlements.
You will design and implement corporate governance policies and procedures across the Private Credit business, helping ensure a robust and scalable operational framework while playing a key role in wider business initiatives and projects.
You will also oversee outsourced loan administrators and fund accountants, monitoring performance against KPIs and driving consistent service delivery.
You will lead and develop a team of junior associates, ensuring they are well supported, effectively prioritised and consistently delivering against objectives.
Additionally, you will produce accurate, timely and insightful management information for a range of stakeholders to support informed decision making across the business.
You will act as a key interface between L&G Asset Management’s Private Credit front office, outsourced fund accounting providers and Investment Operations, ensuring transaction data is accurately validated, communicated and processed end‑to‑end.
- What you’ll be doing
- Managing end‑to‑end Private Credit deal flow including pipeline tracking, trade capture, and overseeing settlement processes to ensure timely and accurate execution.
- Designing, implementing and continuously enhancing governance frameworks, policies and procedures to support business growth while maintaining strong controls.
- Overseeing outsourced loan administrators and fund accountants, reviewing service delivery, monitoring KPIs and driving improvements where required.
- Acting as the key interface between front office, Investment Operations and third‑party providers to ensure all transaction data is accurately captured, validated and processed.
- Producing and delivering accurate, timely and insightful management information to support decision making across senior stakeholders.
- Identifying control gaps and operational risks, conducting analysis and implementing enhancements to strengthen the overall control environment.
- Leading, mentoring and developing junior team members, ensuring clear direction, support and high standards of delivery across the team.
- Driving and supporting business and operational projects, working with Business Analysts, Technology and wider teams to improve systems, processes and scalability.
- Who we’re looking for
- Holding a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) alongside a strong academic background 2:1 Degree or equivalent.
- Bringing experience from Private Credit, asset management or a similar investment environment, with an understanding of deal lifecycles and operational processes.
- Demonstrating strong knowledge of debt fund accounting, IFRS and financial analysis, including the ability to assess financial performance and covenant structures.
- Showing experience of implementing or supporting funds from first close through to investment, monitoring and eventual realisation.
- Ability to advise, persuade and influence fund managers in an ambiguous and/or changing environment.
- Experience leading a team.
- Communicating confidently with stakeholders, networking across Front Office and Business Development.
- Proven track record of dealing with and influencing across an organisation to achieve objectives especially in respect of Senior Management and external stakeholders.
