The Data Architecture internship has been designed to help you reach your potential. You’ll gain hands‑on work experience and build a strong skill set around Data and Technology Architecture. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative, forward‑thinking team that’s passionate about Technology strategy, Data and Architecture. You’ll receive support every step of the way, with access to core skills training and guidance from your line manager. As part of a graduate cohort, you’ll also connect with peers through networking opportunities and social events.

Responsibilities

  • Support data and technology architects in documenting current‑state and future‑state architecture using standard templates, diagrams, and modelling tools.
  • Assist with data analysis and research, gathering information on systems, data flows, and technology options to inform architectural decisions.
  • Help maintain architecture artefacts such as data dictionaries, application inventories, integration maps, and metadata repositories.
  • Contribute to solution assessments, evaluating proposals for alignment to architectural principles, data standards, and security guidelines.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and project workshops, capturing actions, updating documentation, and ensuring architectural insights are fed back to the wider team.

Qualifications

  • On track for 2.1 Degree in any subject – we are open to all subject backgrounds.
  • Curiosity and a strong desire to learn.
  • An analytical mindset with problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with great attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A flexible, collaborative team player.
  • Basic knowledge of productivity tools like Microsoft 365, and an interest in learning analysis and diagramming techniques.
