We’re recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join our Global Financial Institutions (GFI) team and be an integral part of the coverage team supporting our strategic relationships with GFI clients and coordination of relationships with these key global clients across Asset Management, working closely with our Regional Sales and Specialist Sales teams. This individual will be responsible for expanding the distribution of L&G Asset Management products across both public and private markets, and both active and passive capabilities, working closely in partnership with regional Distribution teams and asset class specialists. The individual will also help support our Enterprise relationships with these important clients, working collaboratively across L&G Asset Management and the broader L&G Group.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the relationships with GFIs, across all markets, in partnership with regional teams
  • Facilitating growth of overall global AuM/ANNR/revenue with GFIs
  • Building out coordinated Global Action Plans for top-priority GFI clients, including organisational mapping and coverage plans, and ensuring strong information-sharing across teams
  • Working with regional distribution teams in positioning L&G as a real partner to top priority GFIs and working with gatekeepers and selection teams to increase the number of L&G products approved
  • Working with global functional teams (i.e. product, investments, marketing, etc.) to build out requirements for the GFI channel and client positioning/core sales messages for GFI channel, funnelling insights from regional teams
  • Assisting with the coordination of C‑Suite/senior level interactions and key client summits

Qualifications

  • A strong understanding of the wealth market and Global Financial Institutions, with the ability to identify opportunities, navigate market dynamics, and build meaningful client relationships
  • An established network across Global Financial Institutions, with experience engaging key decision-makers and developing trusted, long‑term partnerships
  • Experience within asset management, with a broad understanding of investment solutions. Exposure to Active Fixed Income, ETFs and Private Markets would be advantageous
  • Experience working within asset management, ideally in a distribution or client‑facing capacity, with the ability to engage clients across a range of geographies, market segments and investment strategies
  • A proactive and self‑motivated approach, coupled with a passion for working collaboratively across teams to deliver outstanding client outcomes. Success in the role will be supported through close partnership with colleagues across Distribution, Product, Marketing and Investments
  • A track record of building strong relationships and working effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals and drive positive outcomes
