We’re recruiting for a Senior Analyst to join the Investment Operations Product Team within our Institutional Retirement business area. You will be responsible for developing the investment operations platform and product set offering to the business. Proactively problem‑solving issues, continuously improving applications and product functionality with a strategic thinking mindset and delivering key developments to improve the product sets. The role involves defining the product offerings for investment operations, supporting the investment operations product sets, which help improve business functionality and drive efficiency for the investment teams.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Working closely with colleagues across investment, operations, technology and external partners to understand business needs and help shape practical, well‑designed solutions.
  • Turning ideas and requirements into clear plans that support the ongoing development of our investment operations products.
  • Playing an active role in projects and change initiatives, contributing insight and strategic thinking to help our platform evolve over time.
  • Using asset and financial data to support decision‑making and enhance product features, ensuring information flows smoothly into our tools and processes.
  • Building strong relationships with portfolio managers, investment teams and risk colleagues to understand what data they need and help deliver solutions that work for them.
  • Collaborating with product teams across the organisation to improve processes, share ideas and identify opportunities to make things work better.
  • Helping to co‑ordinate and deliver change across L&G, supporting smooth implementation and adoption.
  • Keeping customer outcomes at the heart of what you do, ensuring products and propositions are designed, reviewed and delivered in line with Consumer Duty principles.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Experience working across investment operations, asset management or related environments, with a good understanding of how investment data supports front‑to‑back processes.
  • Knowledge of a range of asset classes, such as fixed income, equities and derivatives, and how they are valued and managed.
  • Familiarity with investment accounting concepts (such as IBOR and ABOR) and an understanding of key market inputs like interest rates and inflation.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to approach problems in a structured and thoughtful way.
  • A track record of supporting or leading change within an investment or asset management setting; experience in pensions or Pension Risk Transfer is a plus but not essential.
  • Confidence working with investment data platforms and tools, and contributing to larger programmes or strategic initiatives.
  • The ability to explain complex ideas clearly to different audiences and work collaboratively to prioritise and deliver improvements.
  • Experience using reporting and automation tools such as Power BI and Power Automate to generate insight and support better outcomes.

Benefits:

  • The opportunity to participate in our annual, performance‑related bonus plan and valuable share schemes.
  • Generous pension contribution.
  • Life assurance.
  • Healthcare Plan (permanent employees only).
  • At least 25 days holiday, plus public holidays, 26 days after 2 years’ service. There’s also the option to buy and sell holiday.
  • Competitive family leave.
  • Participate in our electric car scheme, which offers employees the option to hire a brand‑new electric car through tax efficient salary sacrifice (permanent employees only).
  • There are many discounts we offer – both for our own products and at a range of high street stores and online.
  • We’re creating net‑zero carbon workplaces by 2030 by investing in our sustainable, modern offices across the UK, all designed to bring people together and elevate the in‑person experience.
