Job Description
We have an incredible opportunity for an Infrastructure Security Analyst to join in either London or Hove!
Responsibilities
- Analyzing data from and identifying security improvements to other infrastructure security components such as Web Application Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Web Filters, E‑Mail Security, and DLP, and making recommendations to improve configuration/design.
- Conducting firewall configuration security reviews; analysing configuration and logs from firewalls and related networking devices to identify opportunities for security improvements in configuration and design. This involves understanding the environment, collaborating with relevant technical and application teams, and making recommendations for changes, facilitating their implementation with SMEs.
- Supporting the maintenance of the firewall and network assurance application; task monitoring of configuration, data collection, and analysis jobs.
- Assisting the Vulnerability Manager in the identification, prioritisation and remediation of security vulnerabilities across the L&G group.
- Supporting team mailboxes and queues; contributing to the management of the team’s support queues, providing first‑line support of tickets and queries.
- Keeping up to date on threat actor approaches and methods, and making recommendations to detect and defend against these activities.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of firewall and related network security technologies.
- Strong understanding of networks and network protocols and the risk posed by related security vulnerabilities.
- Knowledge/experience in information protection, data leakage protection, and cloud security.
- Knowledge of the threat landscape, particularly exploited vulnerabilities.
- Prior industry experience relevant to this role covering firewall assurance and network security, preferably using relevant security frameworks and tooling.
- Experience with vulnerability management and vulnerability scanning tools is a huge plus.
- Experience in managing complex stakeholder relationships.
- Relevant certifications and/or accreditations (CISSP, CISM, etc.) are a plus.
