Employee Communications Manager, Group Functions (GCOO)

As part of Group Functions, you will support the Senior Employee Communications Manager in delivering communication strategies that engage employees, build trust in the Leadership Team and support change management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver communication strategies, create content and communications plans, and use data and insights to improve effectiveness.
  • Assist in engaging employees with L&G’s GCOO strategy and building trust through communications and events.
  • Support delivery of change communications plans to ensure employees understand the reasons for change.
  • Create content and manage digital channels, aligning messaging with L&G’s narrative.
  • Plan and execute virtual and in‑person events, including agendas, speaker notes, presentations and attendee lists.
  • Collaborate with Employee Communications to improve planning, measurement, evaluation, editorial planning and information sharing.
  • Design communication assets for Consumer Duty, ensuring clarity, fairness, and compliance with regulatory and data protection requirements.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of employee communications within Corporate Affairs and broader business strategy.
  • Knowledge of communications tactics, content development and channel management.
  • Experience with evaluation and planning methodologies used in communications functions.
  • Knowledge of technology and operations (preferred).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, highly organised and able to prioritise workload.
  • Experience in content development and event management.
  • Experience in employee and leadership communications as part of an in‑house team.
  • Previous experience working in or with complex regulated organisations, ideally in financial services.
