Job Description
We’re recruiting for a Corporate Action & Lending Support Specialist, primarily focused on the Corporate Actions vertical within the Asset Servicing Oversight team. This role provides oversight and support to Asset Management front office teams and outsourced partners across the full corporate actions lifecycle, including both mandatory and voluntary events such as notifications and election management.
Operating within the Middle Office Asset Services function, it ensures an efficient and effective service aligned with broader departmental and global business objectives. The role also involves analysing and managing corporate action events, including those related to loaned securities, ensuring accurate entitlement calculations, effective borrower communication, and seamless end‑to‑end settlement while minimising operational and counterparty risk.
The primary function of the Asset Services function is to ensure all retained services (incl. Corporate Actions, Tax, Proxy, Income Claims and Class Actions) and outsourced activities are effectively managed and processed in accordance with market deadlines and industry best practice, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and quality control.
Responsibilities
- Supporting Corporate Actions and securities lending oversight, managing the end-to-end lifecycle including notifications, re-notifications and election responses.
- Overseeing outsourced provider performance against agreed service standards, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and quality of client service.
- Assisting outsourced providers in delivering retained services and maintaining effective operational support models.
- Monitoring daily and weekly KPIs/KRIs, identifying issues and escalating risks in a timely manner.
- Managing operational risk across internal teams and providers, reviewing controls, ensuring regulatory compliance and communicating clearly with senior stakeholders.
- Coordinating corporate action events, including monitoring announcements, interpreting impacts, managing entitlements on loaned securities and aligning stakeholders on elections.
- Performing reconciliations, ensuring accurate entitlement calculations and driving timely settlements while minimising operational and counterparty risk.
- Driving stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement, strengthening service delivery, enhancing automation and control effectiveness, and contributing to governance, regulatory awareness and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- Extensive expertise in corporate actions across multiple asset classes, managing securities lending events, supporting front office execution, working to tight deadlines, navigating full lifecycle complexities, and communicating effectively across diverse stakeholders.
- Strong asset management industry experience and in-depth knowledge of corporate actions processing, risk and best practices.
- Robust understanding of securities lending and REPO transactions, including their impact on corporate events.
- Experience managing outsourced service delivery, combining operational expertise with awareness of client expectations and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience overseeing third-party relationships, influencing stakeholders and driving high-quality client service outcomes.
- Experience managing operational risk, applying control frameworks and ensuring effective resolution of service issues.
- Strong organisational capability, including planning, prioritisation, problem solving and independent decision-making.
- Effective communication across all levels, adapting style to different audiences while operating flexibly in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
