We’re looking for a Claims Team Manager to join our Group Protection Claims team, offering a competitive salary of up to £52,000 depending on experience. You will lead a talented group of Claim Specialists to deliver excellent customer outcomes. What you’ll be doing:
- Leading and managing a team of Claim Specialists to deliver a proactive and high-quality claims service
- Aligning team objectives with departmental goals, service levels and performance targets
- Monitoring performance using management information and responding to trends and changes
- Recruiting, developing and supporting colleagues to build capability and maintain service excellence
- Overseeing claims assessment and decision making, including authorising payments within agreed limits
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients, intermediaries and stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with legislation, regulations and internal policies including data protection requirements
- Driving continuous improvement by identifying themes, resolving issues and enhancing processes
Who we’re looking for:
- Proven experience leading and developing teams in a service-driven environment
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective relationships
- Experience in claims, insurance or financial services is desirable
- Good understanding of risk, governance and regulatory requirements
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Ability to prioritise workloads and adapt to changing business needs
- Commitment to delivering fair customer outcomes and excellent service
- Confidence to challenge, improve processes and support continuous improvement
