We’re looking for an Assistant Propositions Manager to join our Product & Propositions Development team within Retail Protection. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, detail and product insight, and who wants to build a career in propositions. You’ll support a broad range of product and proposition activity, from competitor analysis and MI reporting through to internal product information, stakeholder queries and launch support.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting the review and development of Retail Protection products through MI, market and competitor analysis
- Producing clear reports and insight summaries to help identify opportunities and improve customer outcomes
- Working with colleagues across Finance, claims, underwriting, pricing, servicing, IT and change to support proposition activity
- Preparing supporting documents for product development approvals and key internal committees
- Supporting product launches through sales briefings, training materials and product information updates
- Monitoring competitor activity and comparison portals such as F&TRC and CI Expert
- Responding to product and proposition queries from distribution and internal teams
- Building knowledge in specialist areas such as tax and trust over time
Who we're looking for:
- Good knowledge of Retail Protection products, ideally including critical illness and income protection
- Strong analytical skills and confidence working with MI, Excel and data
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate and well-structured information
- Curiosity and a genuine interest in learning how products, propositions and customer outcomes connect
- Ability to communicate clearly with different stakeholders across the business
- A proactive, organised and team-focused approach to managing varied work
- Confidence making practical recommendations from data, competitor insight or product information
- Experience in claims, operations, underwriting, distribution or product/propositions would be helpful
