We’re recruiting for an Assistant Finance Manager to join our Asset Management Finance team. The role is competitive and offers a base salary.
What you’ll be doing:
- Act as the finance‑tax interface, partnering closely with Group Tax to embed tax requirements within finance processes.
- Support the accurate calculation, recording and reporting of corporation tax, VAT and overseas equivalents.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual VAT returns for UK and European entities.
- Produce overseas tax reporting packs and collaborate with external advisers to support tax returns.
- Prepare branch and statutory accounts for overseas entities to support transfer pricing and audit requirements.
- Analyse financial data and produce high‑quality submission packs to support tax reporting and compliance.
- Act as a key point of contact for tax‑related queries, delivering outputs aligned to agreed timelines and standards.
- Maintain documentation of processes, risks and controls while supporting ad hoc reporting and analysis.
Who we’re looking for:
- Experience working within finance, tax or asset management environments, with exposure to tax reporting or compliance.
- Part‑qualified accountant (or equivalent), or working towards a relevant professional qualification.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and the interaction between finance and tax processes.
- Ability to analyse and interpret financial data, translating insights into clear reporting outputs.
- Confidence working with multiple stakeholders across finance, tax and external advisory teams.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliver high‑quality outputs.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to ensuring accuracy and completeness in reporting.
- Experience preparing VAT returns, tax reporting packs or statutory accounts is advantageous.
