We’re recruiting a DC Investment Director responsible for representing L&G’s DC investment products and expertise to the market in a client and adviser facing role. You will support new business acquisition and retention, help shape the strategic direction of the DC proposition, and contribute to PR and marketing activity. Responsible for leading engagement with aligned investment advisers and clients to strengthen L&G’s market position, while partnering closely with internal stakeholders to service clients and provide input into product development.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Acting as a key contact for distribution teams on DC investment and ESG matters, supporting new business and client retention, and collaborating with Business Development Directors to engage intermediaries and share competitor insights.
  • Instigating and developing relationships with DC investment advisers, promoting understanding of L&G’s capabilities and influencing perceptions of DC investment solutions.
  • Supporting relationships with L&G’s Mastertrust and IGC, driving the investment proposition, and contributing to the development and distribution of bundled and unbundled DC solutions.
  • Representing L&G DC at conferences and industry roundtables.
  • Gathering and providing feedback on DC investment trends, and driving product development with investment and product teams.
  • Maintaining up-to-date market knowledge and monitoring strategic developments, discussing industry topics confidently with intermediaries and clients.
  • Guiding, mentoring, and supporting the development of junior team members.
  • Communicating investment solutions clearly and balanced, explaining features and risks, and feeding back client requirements to support solution development.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Excellent understanding of investments across different asset classes, asset allocation and specifics of DC investments.
  • Extensive knowledge of fund structures, operational requirements and governance.
  • Deep working knowledge of the DC market and provider landscape, including both bundled and unbundled DC.
  • Thorough understanding of ESG factors, DC requirements in ESG space and market trends.
  • Client facing experience essential, with excellent presentational and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with DC institutional and bundled platforms.
  • Strong academic background, relevant degree and investment experience.
