We’re recruiting for an Agency Payments Analyst to join us on a fixed term contract basis. As an Agency Payments Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring and recording commission payments across all Sales Channels, ensuring that both payments and statements are issued promptly and accurately. You will also manage the preparation, allocation, and reconciliation of all procuration fee payments made into the L&G Mortgage Club with precision and efficiency. In addition, you will provide outstanding service to both internal and external customers, including intermediaries, by investigating and processing queries in line with all regulatory requirements.
What you’ll be doing:
- Accurately preparing and processing scans of Lender procuration fee data against the Mortgage Club database to enable accurate payment of Lender cases to the Societies Intermediaries within the required SLA.
- Ensuring that the unverified database is regularly reviewed and investigated, to ensure payment is made to the appropriate Intermediaries in a timely manner via liaison with the Lender and/or Intermediary.
- Maintaining regular housekeeping and data cleansing of the Mortgage Club database in order to minimise the risk to the Society of invalid or fraudulent activity.
- Investigating all control reports that identify potential problems with commission or agency records highlighting any manual errors or system anomalies.
- Accurately performing a range of administrative functions within the Commission Payments systems, ensuring regular maintenance and reviews are carried out.
- Understanding, resolving and responding to all referred Commission and procuration fee queries within the agreed SLA, projecting a professional customer care approach and excellent service to all Legal & General Intermediaries at all times.
- Providing full support to our front office Agency Enquires Team when needed providing cover for the telephone helpline and able to deal with all commission related queries.
- Acting as a positive role model and mentor to others in the team by consistently completing the role to the best ability, sharing knowledge, coaching and guiding junior members of the team, imparting experience and understanding in order to achieve reliably high standards.

- Strong written and verbal communication, able to respond and react to customers appropriately building a rapport and satisfying customers’ needs.
- Effective planning and ability to prioritise, taking full ownership of given tasks and responsibilities to ensure targets are consistently achieved.
- Strong analytical skills, displaying high level of accuracy and attention to detail at all times.
- Good risk awareness.
- Knowledge of Independent Financial Advisor market desirable.
- Good desktop skills around Microsoft Office in particular Word & Excel.
