Are you ready to lead the delivery of high-quality Build-to-Rent (BTR) developments across the UK? We're looking for a Senior Development Manager to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of urban living. You'll be part of a collaborative environment, working alongside Transactions Managers, Asset Managers, and Fund Managers to deliver exceptional residential assets that meet investor expectations and community needs.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading the end-to-end delivery of major urban BTR developments across the UK
- Overseeing direct developments and development fundings in line with business plans
- Preparing and maintaining development budgets, financial appraisals, and cashflows
- Negotiating and managing building contracts and consultant appointments
- Ensuring compliance with funding agreements and reporting obligations
- Providing technical oversight and resolving issues throughout the development cycle
- Collaborating with internal teams to align development activity with portfolio goals
- Building strong relationships with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Proven experience delivering large-scale residential developments, ideally BTR
- Strong technical knowledge of construction, design management, and quality standards
- Competence in financial appraisals, budgeting, and cashflow forecasting
- Solid understanding of JCT building contracts and their administration
- Familiarity with development funding agreements and obligations
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication abilities
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline with a professional qualification (e.g. MRICS, CIOB)
