Overview
As Systematic Index Strategist, you will support the Systematic Solutions team by maintaining research infrastructure and productionising analytical tools.
You will bridge investment research with technology, enabling scalable, governed data and models for equity and fixed income strategies.
You’ll contribute to research, testing, and deployment of systematic strategies, while developing towards investment research and strategy design.
This is a role that combines quantitative development with strategic research impact in a global asset manager.

Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance Postgre SQL database and research infrastructure
- Develop and support data ingestion, validation, and monitoring across diverse data sources
- Manage Git Hub repositories, enforce development best practices and governance
- Refactor and productionise research code into scalable frameworks
- Build and maintain Python libraries and automated workflows for portfolio analysis
- Collaborate with Technology & Analytics to improve data processes and standards
- Support research, testing, and implementation of systematic strategies across equity and fixed income
- Perform quantitative analysis and backtesting using market, factor, fundamental and ESG datasets
- Key requirements
- Strong Python programming skills
- Experience with SQL and Postgre SQL
- Understanding of software development principles and version control
- Experience building data pipelines or research infrastructure in investment/tech environments
- Knowledge of quantitative research methods and systematic investing concepts
- Degree in a quantitative discipline (e. g., Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Econometrics, Financial Economics)
- Strong intellect and ability to engage stakeholders and investment teams
- Interest in moving toward investment research and strategy design
