Overview
As a Research Analyst in the Asset Allocation team, you will support multi-asset strategy and research, helping shape investment views and develop analytical tools. You will work with economists, strategists, and portfolio managers to analyze macro and market data and advance research frameworks. This role offers exposure to how research informs investment decisions across asset classes, within a client- and shareholder-focused business. You will contribute to data-driven insights that support value creation and sustainable investing.

Responsibilities
- Support strategy and research activity across the Multi Asset team
- Assist economists and strategists with macroeconomic and market research projects
- Build and maintain analytical tools, scorecards and market indicators
- Update existing research frameworks and datasets
- Support generation of investment ideas across multiple asset classes
- Analyze economic, market and investment data
- Maintain and improve team research infrastructure
- Collaborate with portfolio managers and other investment professionals
Key requirements
- Degree in Economics, Finance or a closely related subject
- 1-3 years' relevant experience within investments, financial markets or economics
- Strong understanding of investment fundamentals and analytical techniques
- Genuine passion for financial markets and macroeconomics
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively whilst contributing independent thinking
- Exposure to Python, SQL or other analytical tools would be beneficial
