Overview

In this Finance Business Partner role, you will provide financial insight and challenge to support planning, forecasting, and reporting for the Core Capital portfolio. You will build trusted relationships across the business and help senior stakeholders understand performance, risks and opportunities. You’ll work with investment teams to ensure accurate financial representation while not making investment decisions. This is a hands-on partner role that links finance with strategic decisions in a large retirement-focused group.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Core Capital, Private Markets Finance and Portfolio Management to align plans and forecasts
  • Develop understanding of Core Capital portfolio performance and risk metrics
  • Analyse financial performance and communicate risks, opportunities and actions
  • Review shareholder fund projections and management information to reflect portfolio views
  • Produce traded portfolio projections, commentary and MI to explain performance and variances
  • Prepare monthly Core Capital liquidity projections and maintain controls across finance and ALM assumptions
  • Coordinate inputs from teams to support accurate Institutional Retirement plans and forecasts
  • Support performance reporting, Finance Transformation initiatives and wider project activity

Key requirements

  • ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualification, or significant relevant professional experience
  • Strong accounting, financial planning and analysis knowledge including IFRS
  • Experience of preparing robust financial information and delivering clear insight
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail; ability to identify risks and opportunities
  • Experience managing competing priorities and meeting tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including boards-level commentary
  • Ability to build effective relationships, influence across teams
  • Advanced Excel; knowledge of private markets accounting; OneStream or Anaplan advantageous
