As a Qualified Actuary, you will join the Retail Annuity Finance team to blend actuarial insight with financial acumen. You’ll support senior finance leaders, translating complex data into practical guidance to drive commercial decisions. The role emphasizes stakeholder collaboration, accurate planning, and a clear view of performance across IFRS, Solvency II, and cash/expense/sales domains. Responsibilities
- Support senior finance leaders in identifying main drivers of financial performance
- Partner with stakeholders to challenge and inform commercial decisions
- Build trusted relationships across L G Retail and the wider organization
- Contribute to financial plans and forecasts (IFRS, new business, Solvency II, cash, expenses, sales)
- Translate complex financial information into actionable insights
- Assess financial implications of strategic, commercial and operational decisions
- Monitor regulatory, accounting and risk developments
- Ensure analysis and actions reflect fair treatment of customers
Key requirements
- Qualified Actuary with experience across life insurance, annuities, PRT, protection or savings
- Strong business-partnering skills and ability to build stakeholder trust
- Ability to understand complex issues and communicate clearly to diverse audiences
- Commercial awareness and ability to apply financial insight to decisions
- Sound judgement, initiative, and independent thinking
- Experience balancing priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, risk management and insurance reporting frameworks
