Job DescriptionWe're looking for a Governance & Risk Manager to join our Asset Management Chief Operating Office team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in strengthening governance, risk management and control frameworks across a complex and evolving business.Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll provide expert guidance on risk and governance matters, support effective decision-making and help embed a strong risk culture. You'll have the opportunity to influence strategic initiatives, drive continuous improvement and ensure risks are identified, assessed and managed effectively.What you’ll be doing:Leading the delivery and continuous improvement of governance, risk and control frameworks across the businessSupporting the identification, assessment and management of operational risks and emerging risk themesProducing risk reporting, management information and governance papers for senior stakeholders and committeesManaging risk and control assessments and overseeing the timely completion of remediation activitiesPartnering with business teams to strengthen controls, improve processes and enhance risk awarenessSupporting operational resilience, business continuity and scenario testing activitiesProviding expert guidance on governance and risk matters and delivering constructive challenge where appropriateDriving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the effectiveness of governance, risk and control arrangementsWho we’re looking for:Experience working within governance, operational risk, enterprise risk or controls functions in a financial services environmentStrong understanding of governance frameworks, risk management principles and internal control environmentsExperience producing risk reporting and presenting information to senior stakeholders and governance forumsKnowledge of operational resilience, risk assessment methodologies and control frameworksStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex information and identify practical solutionsExcellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, challenge and build effective relationshipsExperience delivering process improvements and driving positive change across teamsStrong communication skills with the ability to explain risk and governance concepts clearly to a range of audiencesWhatever your role, we reward performance and behaviour with a package that looks after all the things that are important to you.
