Our Group Procurement team launched a 3 year transformation strategy in 2023 and secured investment in people and systems to deliver the vision of creating a Procurement Centre of Excellence for Legal and General. We are embedding category management and innovative sourcing strategies, and partnering with stakeholders to become a strategic enabler for the business. It’s an exciting time to join our team and be part of the transformation. The team work flexibly and prioritise engagement and collaboration with colleagues to ensure great business partnering and best outcomes. A typical working week is two days in an office/supplier location and three days at home. What you’ll be doing: Managing procurement activities across various categories including IT, marketing, property, and workplace Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive strategic procurement initiatives Supporting the development and implementation of procurement strategies Engaging in supplier negotiations and contract management Ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures Contributing to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and tools Providing guidance and support to junior team members Participating in the transformation and optimisation of supply spend Qualifications Who we’re looking for: Experienced procurement professionals with a background in various categories Individuals with a mix of experience levels, from seasoned experts to those looking to grow Candidates who are adaptable and sector-agnostic, with a willingness to learn Team players with strong collaboration and communication skills Professionals who are committed to excellence and continuous improvement People who are passionate about driving positive change and innovation Benefits: The opportunity to participate in our annual, performance-related bonus plan and valuable share schemes Generous pension contribution Life assurance Private medical insurance (permanent employees only) At least 25 days holiday, plus public holidays, 26 days after 2 years’ service.
