Are you keen to learn about the complex world of pensions and retirement income? Join our dynamic Research and Insight team, where you\’ll work alongside real-time data and behavioural specialists to help shape the future of pensions, retirement, and financial wellbeing.
This is not your typical pensions role – the category is evolving fast, and we’re looking for someone who’s excited to be part of that transformation. Your work will have real purpose: helping address pensions inadequacy and boosting the financial wellbeing of our members, ensuring they have the knowledge and tools to plan ahead, and ultimately so they can retire better and with confidence.
What you\\\’ll be doing
- Commissioning and delivering primary research across a variety of topics including UX, CX, brand, and proposition development
- Leveraging secondary market intelligence and collaborating with analytics and insight colleagues
- Gathering and analysing customer, market and competitor intelligence to identify trends and opportunities
- Championing the customer voice and guiding stakeholders with insight-driven recommendations
- Managing research budgets efficiently to maximise value and impact
- Translating insights into compelling stories that influence strategic decisions
- Embedding segmentation into research to enhance relevance and depth of findings
- Supporting Consumer Duty and ensuring good customer outcomes through compliant research practices
Qualifications
- Proven experience in market and customer research, with strong storytelling skills
- Expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
- Ability to translate insights for diverse audiences and stakeholder needs
- Financial services experience, especially in pensions, investments or retirement sectors
- Strong project management skills and experience commissioning research
- Confidence in presenting and consulting, with a proactive and collaborative approach
- Ability to balance strategic and tactical thinking with commercial and customer needs
- Experience managing research budgets and delivering cost-effective outcomes
- Passionate about customers and getting to the heart of what motivates them
