Job Summary
We’re recruiting for a Liquidity & Financial Modelling Analyst to join us at L&G. We’re offering a competitive salary and a great benefits package, as well as the opportunity to work on interesting and varied work that will support the optimisation and further enhancement of our Liquidity Management Systems.
As a Liquidity & Financial Modelling Analyst you will play a key role in operating and evolving our Derivative Stress Testing Solution (DSTS) and ensuring that this operates effectively, as well as ensuring that any changes are in line with both stakeholder needs as well as with development and system change best practices. This is a hybrid working opportunity, which means you can split your working week between your home and our Central London offices to find a work-life balance that works for you.
What you\’ll be doing
- Operating the Derivative Stress Testing System (DSTS) and effectively resolving any data issues
- Proactively supporting ad-hoc scenario analysis and portfolio modelling runs
- Maintaining user access and inventory for the liquidity system
- Ensuring changes to the DSTS system are executed correctly and maintaining and managing the system change backlog
- Supporting model changes across a variety of areas including asset data, market data, software, and/or hardware and infrastructure
- Overseeing the design, development, implementation and testing/documentation of changes
- Engaging with key stakeholders (both Divisional and across the Group) to communicate operational and strategic system updates to ensure they remain appropriately updated on these changes
- Demonstrating a risk and control mindset through the proactive identification of control weaknesses and creating suitable remedial actions as well as long term solutions to these weaknesses
Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Mathematics, or a related quantitative subject
- Broad understanding/knowledge of asset classes such as bonds and derivatives
- Strong data analysis skills
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to effectively communicate and manage a variety of stakeholders
- Showing awareness of risk and regulatory frameworks (desirable)
- An understanding/experience of the UK finance sector (desirable)
- Bringing experience in quantitative analysis from either academia or industry
- Being proactive in identifying and resolving issues
