Job Description

Are you a detail-oriented and analytical professional with a passion for investigating, analysing, and documenting business processes? L&G is seeking a Business Analyst to join our Retail team on a secondment basis. In this role, you will focus on the investigation, analysis, remediation, review, and documentation of Retail\’s Business Critical Services (Tier2) covering customer journeys, systems, and processes. What you\’ll be doing:

  • Undertaking requirements elicitation for Retail Business Critical services (Tier2) to produce artefacts covering process and dependency mapping, identifying vulnerabilities, and addressing gaps with the business
  • Validating and classifying requirements with stakeholders, gaining appropriate approvals, and documenting requirements using agreed standards, methods, and tools
  • Supporting business SMEs/stakeholders to ensure Critical Business Processes (Tier2) are identifiable in Retail\’s Business Recovery Plans (BRP) and Business Impact Assessments (BIA)
  • Designing and facilitating workshops, stakeholder interviews, and discovery activities to populate and enrich business change user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Identifying gaps in plans and working with the business to produce gap remediation plans, documenting and escalating gaps and remediation risks
  • Reviewing current impact tolerances for each Identified Business Critical Process, stress testing ability to remain within those tolerances, and identifying necessary improvements
  • Facilitating the reporting of Critical Business Processes (Tier2) recovery status to relevant Business Risk Committees and forums, providing metrics and plans on resilience
  • Managing and influencing stakeholder alignment and communication at various levels across multiple business areas and divisions

Qualifications

Who we\’re looking for:

  • Professional risk or compliance qualifications would be helpful
  • Business Analyst qualification or experience is desirable
  • Knowledge of Retail Business operation model, principal systems, and applications
  • Experience in Business Process Re-engineering, understanding business processes, analyzing as-is processes, and developing new to-be processes
  • Understanding of technology constraints and opportunities, and ability to explain these to Business decision makers
  • Ability to collect, collate, and interpret data from various sources for evidence-based decision making
  • Knowledge of pensions and other savings wrappers, as well as relevant finance regulations
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
