We’re recruiting for a Telephone Business Development Manager to join us. We’re offering a competitive base salary. At Legal & General Retirement, we're looking for a relationship-focused Telephone Business Development Manager to help grow our intermediary partnerships and support advisers in delivering great retirement outcomes for their clients. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, working towards targets and developing commercial opportunities within the financial services market.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing a portfolio of intermediary firms across the Central region
- Building strong relationships with advisers and key stakeholders
- Identifying opportunities to grow sales and market share
- Delivering a structured telephone contact strategy
- Using Salesforce and market data to inform activity planning
- Supporting intermediary firms with product and proposition knowledge
- Attending and following up industry events and conferences
- Sharing market insight and intermediary feedback with internal teams
Who we’re looking for:
- Experience in sales, business development or intermediary relationship management
- Knowledge of pensions, retirement, annuities or broader financial services markets
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Ability to build trust and long-term professional relationships
- Commercial awareness and a target-focused approach
- Experience managing stakeholder portfolios
- Confidence working with CRM systems such as Salesforce
- RO1 qualification or willingness to work towards it preferred
