Job Description

We’re recruiting for a Senior Sales Executive to join us on a 12 month maternity cover contract. You will be providing high quality relationship support to all Strategic Partnership clients and to the sales management team. Acting as an interface between the Wholesale sales team and other areas of the business including Marketing, Operations, Client Service and Fund Management teams in order to seek timely resolution to client queries.

Contribute to achieving the aspirational Wholesale sales target on business from Third Party and Strategic Accounts, discretionary brokers and IFA’s, by working closely with the Investment Sales Managers to develop and implement a contact plan and objective strategy.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing dedicated support to Investment Sales Managers. Working closely with sales managers in developing and implementing a contact strategy and account management plans. Understanding the client opportunity by conducting analysis at the account and portfolio level. Leading client meetings and emails and client follow up where required.
  • Providing high quality client support to clients by dealing with complex technical queries. Understanding client needs and ensuring that internal teams and resources are aligned to deliver against the client expectations. Working with product specialists and fund managers where required to provide detailed fund information.
  • Organising LGIM client events and fund manager meetings for key clients where required, ensuring compelling agendas by understanding the economic environment and client needs. Generating client leads by securing appointments and attendees at internal and external events. Hosting fund managers and clients in a professional and friendly manner. Identifying opportunities for follow up through engaging with clients and understanding their business needs.
  • Delivering presentations at external events where required, developing and maintaining strong presentation skills. Building a professional external profile for LGIM with industry contacts by attending industry events and representing LGIM at client seminars where required.
  • Acting as a conduit between all areas of LGIM including Fund Managers, Investment Sales Managers, Marketing, Legal and Compliance, ensuring the needs of intermediary clients are met. Providing detailed account briefings both pre and post fund manager meetings. Ensuring strategic marketing plans are delivered and compliant with LGIM policies and regulations.
  • Maintaining a detailed level of knowledge of LGIM’s fund range and investment philosophy and process, across Unit Trusts, ICAV, SICAV and ETFs and be able to communicate this to clients and Sales Managers.
  • Acting as a mentor for new team members, providing guidance and detailed information on LGIM products, process and policies. Identifying training requirements and development needs and providing feedback to the Sales Support Manager.
  • Monitoring the customer experience to ensure that customers are treated fairly in line with L&G’s TCF (Treating Customers Fairly) policy and that customer feedback is passed to the relevant areas.

Qualifications

  • Communication skills: Ability to liaise with senior stakeholders and key relationships and consolidate detailed information into concise summaries.
  • Industry knowledge: A high level of understanding of the distribution and Fund Management environment within the Asset Management industry.
  • Experience providing sales support to multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Either hold or willing to work towards investment qualifications.
